Antique Griffen, Smith & Hill Etruscan Majolica Cauliflower Teapot

Circa 1879–1892

A darling example of American Etruscan majolica, this highly collectible Cauliflower Teapot was produced by Griffen, Smith & Hill between 1879 and 1892 (the company later became Griffen, Smith & Co.). Marked on the underside and retaining its catalog number, this piece showcases the exceptional artistry and richly modeled designs that made late 19th-century American majolica so beloved by collectors.

Beautifully sculpted as a head of cauliflower with richly glazed leaves and lifelike detail, this whimsical teapot is both decorative and functional, making it a standout addition to any majolica collection or display.

Condition: The body of the teapot remains in wonderful antique condition with vibrant color and glaze. Please note: as pictured, the teapot lid has been repaired, as shown in the photographs. Considering this piece is over 135 years old, it presents beautifully and displays exceptionally well.
